As the coronavirus rises in numbers, so does the tension. So far, people are already dying from the infamous disease. Yet little is known about this mysterious illness or its origins. What’s even worse is that there’s currently no cure to the virus. There may be no cure, but there are precautions you can take to protect your safety.

Wash Hands

After you’ve returned from the grocery store, immediately wash your hands. Wash your hands for 20 seconds. If there is no access to soap and a sink, find the nearest hand sanitizer. 1

Don’t Touch

You probably touch your face more often than you think. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. These parts are called facial mucous membranes, a gateway for the virus to enter your body. 2

Keep Distance

Remember the facial mucous membranes? That’s why it’s a must to stay away from those with the coronavirus. Not only can humans have the coronavirus, but so can pets. Keep a minimum distance of 6 feet. 3 4
